The British tennis star secured the biggest win of his professional journey by coming back from a set down to defeat world No 1 Carlos Alcaraz with a stunning comeback in the early stage of the Paris Masters.

Although he had previously defeated Alcaraz on two prior meetings, this victory signifies Norrie's maiden success over a current world top-ranked player.

"Bouncing back from a physical setback last year, I was defeated in the first round of qualies here. I just aimed to embrace my tennis in the closing months of the year. To secure a victory like this, it's the biggest win of my career, my initial victory over the top player and likely the most confident competitor in the tennis scene right now."

Norrie, ranked 31st in the world, also halted Alcaraz's impressive run of nine finals in a row and 17 straight premier event victories, which was the best series of performances in the Spaniard's early career.
