The children's author David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.
Best-selling young adult author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
A spokesman for the firm said: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the move was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding allegations of inappropriate behaviour directed at women.
The firm declined to specify the reasons for its decision, adding: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
A Highly Successful Publishing History
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies globally in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.
A number of his books, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles in total, encompassing a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.

His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.
This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
